Climate is an important consideration when choosing an underlayment. If snow and ice will cover vents, the wise move is a breathable underlayment. We use Gorilla Guard® engineered felt underlayment, which is uniquely cost-effective for climates like ours.

We install tarps to catch nails, shingle fragments and splintered wood before it hits the ground, and we sweep the area with metal detectors before we leave.

Lifetime protection against algae growth. Standard shingle warranties prorate or limit coverage of the shingles against algae growth and resulting wear and discoloration. Atlas® Scotchgard®-protected shingles are covered for life against all four strains of algae growth.
Lifetime protection against shingle defects. If your shingles fail prematurely due to any manufacturing defect, Atlas® will cover against the cost of replacement shingles.
Coverage for both labor and materials. Unlike standard manufacturer's shingle warranties, if the homeowner chooses to have WeatherGard-recommended roofing products from Atlas® Roofing installed, we'll provide a guarantee on workmanship, good for the life of the roof.
SBS rubber and granule retention
Shingles fail when granule loss exposes the asphalt to the sun. When the asphalt cracks, the matt is unprotected and rapidly deteriorates. Atlas® Stormmaster incorporates SBS rubber to reduce granule loss by 90%, and usually reduces insurance costs because it is hail resistant.
Industry-best algae resistance
Atlas® shingles include far more algae-resistant copper-coated granules than competing algae-resistant shingles. Preventing algae and lichen growth helps to further prevent catastrophic granule loss.
